Annual pig roast and scholarship awards presentation. Features the Penn State Cheerleaders and Nittany Lion, Alumni Blue Band ensemble, Alumni Association Executive Director, Roger Williams, and you never know who else may be there. The day is an enormous pig roast/picnic full of Penn State raffles and lots of Penn State cheer right before the beginning of football season. Held at the New Berlin American Legion (zip code 17855). It is an outdoor event, held rain or shine. Arrive any time after 11:30 am, with the meal being served at 1:30 pm. Cost: $9 per adult and $3 per child under 12. Guests are asked to bring a generous covered dish to share and their own tableware. Chapter provides the pig, hot dogs, various hot food items, and all beverages. This event regularly holds 400 people, so reservations are required in order to make sure enough food, beverages, and seating are provided.
