TEA AND GARDEN TOUR OF RAMAGE ESTATE IN FORD CLIFF
Flowers, scrubs and unusual trees highlight a garden tour from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, on the estate of Jim and Lynn Ramage in Ford Cliff, Pennsylvania. The “Afternoon Tea and Garden Tour,” includes woodland gardens, perennial gardens and designed areas featuring bulbs, plants, bushes and unique trees planted by the Ramages, master gardeners, on the couple’s 37 acres in Armstrong County. A trail leads to the pond and across a bridge that spans a stream. Jim will share his knowledge about planting with a short presentation, “Choosing the Right Plant for the Right Spot.” Finger sandwiches, sweets and beverages will be provided in the pavilion under a weeping beech tree. A donation of $10 is requested and all proceeds benefit Penn State New Kensington’s current fundraising endeavor, For the Future: The Campaign for Penn State Students. Reservations are required for the garden tour and the deadline is May 14. To RSVP, contact Tina Sluss, 724-34-6056 or tms57@psu.edu via email.
